Seminar: Addressing Carbon Emissions: From Taxes to Offsets

Rockbridge Conservation welcomes Annette Green (Boxerwood) and Clarence Edwards (Friends Committee on National Legislation – FCNL) for our May 2023 Seminar on different approaches to addressing carbon emissions.

We will hear about two different methods for limiting or offsetting emissions. Annette Green will represent COREworks, a carbon offsetting program managed by Boxerwood. This program sells carbon credits to individual and corporate investors. The money raised is used to finance carbon reduction or sequestration projects that offset investors’ personal emissions.

Our other presenter will be Clarence Edwards, a lobbyist with the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL). Clarence will discuss the potential benefits for creating a federal carbon tax.

This seminar is open to the public and free of charge, but registration is required.
