ALERT: Proposed Bill Threatens Farm Conservation in the Valley - (see "FYI" in calendar--before Jan 18!)

Ridges and rivers, national forests and natural wonders, a wealth of wildlife and a rich human heritage: Rockbridge County, nestled between two ancient mountain ranges, has it all.

From the Blue Ridge to the Allegheny Mountains, our environmental and cultural treasures include Natural Bridge, Goshen Pass, the Cyrus McCormick Farm, the Virginia Horse Center, four colleges, the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Since 1976, the Rockbridge Area Conservation Council has been a community leader in promoting the wise stewardship and the sustainable use of these natural and cultural resources.
